What is the Coffee Fail AI trend?

One fixed camera at counter height, one shot, no cuts:

1. The one on the right picks up a teaspoon, the one on the left the kettle.
2. The hot water goes into the red mug; the first spoonful of coffee lands on the counter.
3. The next spoonful is aimed at the mug and lands beside it.
4. Both stir and look around as if it's going fine.
5. At about 12 seconds the one on the right slides the mug over to the jar for more coffee.
6. The milk is poured right where the mug stood and floods the counter.

The joke is the straight faces: nobody notices that only the water went in the mug.

The first take we found is an AI video of a pug and a French bulldog making coffee, posted in the US on October 26, 2026, which passed 1.4 million views. Two days later came a cat and a dachshund and two friends captioned "When Two Legends Try to Make Coffee". On October 29 a CapCut template of the kitchen took off in Brazil, and by October 31 about a hundred new takes a day were being posted (the other names it goes by).
